J&K shines in 23rd Nat’l Rope Skipping C’ship

JAMMU, Oct 21: Fourteen players team of J&K shined in 23rd National Rope Skipping,-Jump Rope Championship-2022 and won one Gold, four Silver and nine Bronze medals, organised by Rope Skipping Federation of India at Talkatora Stadium New Delhi from October 17 to 19.
Kartik Saini won Gold medal in Under-11 (Event- Double Under 30 Seconds ) ,while Medhavi Lakhanpal, Ridhika Mehra, Akira Kour Ishar and Drishti Verma won Silver medals in under-11 (Event- Double Dutch Speed Relay) and Rajveer Singh won Bronze medal in under-11 (Event- One leg switch Single Bounce 30 Seconds ),Saanvi Sunil won Bronze Medal in under-14 (Event- One Leg Switch Single Bounce 30 Seconds), Akshara Sharma won Bronze medal in under-11 (Event- Freestyle ), Radhika Sharma won Bronze medal in under-11 (Event- Speed Sprint 30 Seconds) and Darsh Bhat won Bronze medal in under-11 (Event- Speed Endurance), while Zayin Dobriyal, Shivang Kumar, Nitin Kumar and Vardaan Singh clinched Bronze medal in under-17 age category (Event- SR Speed Relay).
Nearly 1000 students from the 18 States including Union Territories participated in the championship. The J&K team was accompanied by Danish Sharma (Technical Director) along with other coaches including Arusa Issar, Sinia Abrol, Simranjeet Kour, Gaurav Kumar, Manish Gill and Harsh Vardhan Raina. The whole team went under the supervision of Tarsem Sharma, treasurer of Rope Skipping Federation of India.
The office bearers of Association concerned congratulated all the medal winners and participants for giving wonderful performance at such big platform and bring laurels to J&K UT.
