JAMMU, Dec 14: The contingents of Jammu and Kashmir shooters flagged off for the 67th National Shooting Championship after screening by J&K Sports Council at MA Stadium, here today.
The selected shooters will compete in the prestigious event, with rifle shooting events scheduled at the MP Shooting Academy in Bhopal from December 15 to 31, and pistol events at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi from December 13 to January 5.
A contingent of 61 shooters from Jammu and Kashmir will represent the Union Territory at the nationals. The contingent was flagged off by JKRA Chairman Kuldeep Singh Jamwal, CEO JKRA Sharat Chander Singh, along with other dignitaries including Divisional Sports Officer Jammu Baljinder Singh and Manager MA Stadium Suraj Bhan. The event was also attended by Technical Committee Chairman JKRA, Rajesh Virdhy, and several other prominent figures from the sports community.
The shooters selected for the competition include Rumit Singh, R U Gupta, Shamsher Singh, Himanshu Gupta, Utkarsh Khajuria, Vishal Sharma, Arun Dev Singh, Anirudh Sharma, Sainath Jogdand, Vansh Charak, Arjun Chib, Renu Devi, Akul Mengi, Katrina Kaif, Krishiv Sharma, Pragya Verma, Shubhashish Pada, Surinder Singh Chib, Tarun Dev Singh Jamwal, Anshuman Khajuria, Mohd Zain Salaria, Raveena Jangid, Viraj Koushal, Tajinder Paul Singh, Avinash Basotra, Kamal Sharma, Pranav Sambyal, Rajinder Singh, Samarth Tuli, Vijay Kumar, Nippun Singh, Aman Singh, Himanshi Aggarwal, Oshin Dutta, Sunny Khajuria, Shimani Choudhary, Aneesha Sharma, Saksham Virdhy, Sukhpreet Kour, LaaBibah Michelle Tahir, Sachin Sharma, Vardhan Rastogi, Vinod Puri, Shreyansh Jaglan, Kavya Kochhar, Samarvir Singh, Vibhav Sharma, Yashika Sharma, Jujhar Singh, Vanshaj Sambyal, Romijeet Singh, Nitin Choudhary, Abhay Gupta, Prabjot Singh, Pavneet Kour, Ridhvan Sharma, Shreya Charak, Prajwaldev Singh Jamwal and Bhagirathi.
