JAMMU, Apr 12: J&K Skaters excelled in 58th Roller Skating National Championship by clinching six medals in different categories, held recently at Chandigarh.
In Roller Hockey Masters category, J&K UT team lead by Rajesh Anand with the help of team members including Ankush Kohli, Paramveer Singh, Rai Barinder Singh, Sourav Bakshi, Gagan Singh Jamwal, Ramnesh Sharma, Krish Gupta, Sanjeev, Vikram Gupta, Arvindeep Singh and Narinder Malhotra clinched Gold medal, whereas in Roller Hockey Senior Men’s category, the UT team, led by Jugraaj Singh along with their team members including Jatin Sabarwal, Ankush Gupta, Rupinder Paul Singh, Darpan Gargotra, Umar Sahib Singh, Piyush Mahajan, Shubham Taak, Shivank Sharma, Mohit Sharma, Deepak Sharma and Maheshwar Sharma secured Bronze Medal.
In Speed category, Kartikeya Puri won Gold medal, Puneesh Puri secured Bronze medal and Tamanna Saini clinched one each Silver and Bronze medal.
President of the Jammu and Kashmir Roller Skating Association, GS Khurmi congratulated all the medal winners and their coach Jatiender Singh for brilliant performance in the National Championship.
