J&K Specially Abled team scripts big win over Chhattisgarh

JAMMU, Nov 2: J&K Specially Abled Cricket team defeated Chhattisgarh team in its first league match in the ongoing Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Inter-State Cricket Championship for the disabled cricketers being played at KD Singh Babu Stadium Lucknow, today.
Batting first, J&K scored 163 runs in the allotted 20 overs wherein Nikhal Manhas made 35 runs, Nadeem Ahmad scored 34 runs and Wasim Iqbal contributed 24 runs. From the bowling side, Ramkhilawan Sahu took 4 wickets, Kailas took 2 wickets and Vikas Shakula and Santosh claimed 1 wicket each.
In reply, Chhattisgarh team managed to score only 55 runs in which Santosh scored 20 runs while Anuj Sahu made 13 runs for the team. From the bowling side, Manzoor Ahmad and Nadeem Ahmad took 5 wickets each for the J&K team and won the match by 108 runs.
Nadeem Ahmad, captain of the team was declared as man of the match and was awarded with a cash prize of Rs10000 for his outstanding performance. Now, the J&K team will play its second league match against Chandigarh tomorrow.
Rajesh Gill, mentor of J&K team congratulated the team and conveyed his best wishes to the team for the next matches.
