J&K State Dead Lift Championship concludes

JAMMU, May 2: One day J&K State Dead Lift Power Lifting Championship organized by All J&K State Power Lifting Association concluded here today.
On the occasion, Abdul Hamid Choudhary, Vice President PDP J&K, Sarpanch Chowadhi Panchayat Arshid Bibi, Naib Sarpanch Rakesh Kumar, Panch Nadeem Choudhary, Corporator Bhatindi Sobat Ali, Noor Choudhary, Saleem Choudhary, Faryad Ali, Haji Nazeer, Surjit Singh, Haji Yaqoob, Zulfikar Choudhary and Sher Mohammad were present, who distributed the prizes and medals among the winner and runner-ups. The Championship was sponsored by Chowadhi Panchayat.
In the Championship, Roshan Sharma and Amit Jamwal emerged Best Lifter in men category by lifting 250 kgs and 195 kgs respectively, while Juhi Gupta and Sakshi Koul emerged Best Lifter in women category by lifting 155 kgs and 127.5 kgs.
Around 220 players from various districts of the J&K participated in the Championship.
Amit Sharma, General Secretary of the Association, Rahul Sawhney Senior Vice President, Gulzar Singh and Vikram Singh Vice Presidents, Ravinder Sharma Treasurer, Sanjeev Singh and Adil Ashraf Khan Joint Secretaries, Ajit Pal Singh, Deepak Jyoti, Karnail Choudhary, Sumit Gupta, Vinay Sharma, Sandeep Banmotra and Shabeel Ahmad were present.
In women category, the Gold medals were clinched by Sonam Kumari, Sapna Jain, Sakshi Koul, Zarka Majeed, Anjana Rajput, Sonakshi Tangri, Neha Pandita, Juhi Gupta, Kushi Wadera, Sahiba Zargar, Subi Bali, Gurjeet Kour, Jatinder Kour and Upasana Mahajan, while the Silver medals were bagged by Bhandana Bharti, Rashika Handa, Neha Bhagat, Nitika Sharma, Radhika Gupta, Nikita Manhotra, Kushi Wadera, Vandana Rajput, Rabia and Upasna Mahajan. The Bronze medals were secured by Deepali Sharma, Pooja Pal and Bindu Bala.
In men category, the Gold medals were bagged by Anurag Sharma, Anadhi Chib, Rahul Sharma, Muteeb Elahi, Vishal Sudan, Rahul Kumar, Aditya Sharma, Santok Singh, Amit Jamwal, Abhilash Saini, Ram Singh, Abhishek Negi, Atish Sharma, Rajesh Gupta, Sagar Khanna, Mohammad Owais, Chirag Gupta, Balwinder Singh, Abhinandan Gupta, Raja Ram, Mangu Choudhary, Shiv Dev Singh, Roshan Sharma, Arjun Saini, Arjun Badal, Gharjeet Singh, Vinod Mahajan, Rhubhum Sharma, Gorav Sharma, Vivek Choudhary, Abhuam Sharma, Jasbir Singh, Bhanu Malhotra, Raju Sharma, Rahul Choudhary and Vishal Kumari, while the Silver medals were bagged by Sahil Bhatti, Muteeb Elahi, Yaqoob Ali, Dinkar Gupta, Aditya Sharma, Dalveer Kumar, Sahil Kumar, Karan Koul, Daljeet Singh, Sajan Sharma, Ajaz Khan, Umar Sheikh, Aniket Bhagat, Rahul Chib, Adesh Singh, Balwinder Singh, Ubaid Rehman, Vinod Mahajan, Sunil Chib, Ajay Jogi, Daman Kainth, Arjun, Devinder Pal, Abhiam Sharma, Salman, Bhanu Malhotra and Aman Dev Singh. The Bronze medals were secured by Rahul Singh, Chetan Dogra, Nakul Sadhotra, Abhishek Choudhary, Pawan Pandit, Rishab Saraf, Abhilash Saini, Ritesh Sharma, Mohammad Waseem, Sandeep Sharma, Akshit Chawla, Sangam Choudhary, Tribhuwan Singh, Shiv Dev Singh, Ishan Gupta, Vikramdeep, Santosh Raina, Humanshu Singh and Devinder Pal.
