J&K struggling at 82/7 on Day-2

JAMMU, Jan 14: The disciplined Railway bowling trio of Yuvraj, Karthik and Ayan Chaudhri triggered collapse of Jammu and Kashmir on Day-2 of the rain-hit match of CK Nayudu Under-23 Trophy at GGM Science College Hostel Ground, here today.
After a complete washout on Day-1 yesterday and a delayed start today, Jammu and Kashmir skipper Vivrant Sharma won the toss and elected to bat first.
J&K began their innings on a disastrous note as opener Abhishant Bakshi (6) and Vivrant (0) were sent back to the pavilion within first three overs at 8/2. Another opener Nipun Verma was dismissed at his individual score of 16 runs and team’s total of 23/3 in 6.2 overs. Sufiyaan and Muneeb Munaf tried to consolidate the innings and took the score to 62 runs before Muneeb was dismissed for 18 runs. Jammu and Kashmir lost two more wickets in Sufiyaan (19) and Tahsin Dar (0) at 66 runs, while Teseem Younis Tak was the another batsman to be dismissed for nought with the team’s total on 67/7 in 30.2 overs.
With 82/7, Lone Nazir Muzaffar (16) and Sunil Kumar (3) were at the crease when the stumps were drawn after 35 overs of play today.
From Railways, Yuvraj was the pick of the bowlers, who captured 3 wickets by conceding 16 runs in his 8 overs, while Karthik and Ayan Chaudhri took 2 wickets each.
