JAMMU, Jan 27: J&K-UT Sub Junior Taekwondo team flagged off for the 37th National Sub Junior Kyorugi Taekwondo Championships & 12th National Sub Junior Poomsae Taekwondo Championship 2023-24 scheduled to be held from February 2 to 4, 2024 at Balbir Juneja Indoor Stadium, Budhapara, Raipur, Chhattisgarh here today.
Baljinder Pal Singh, Divisional Sports Officer, JKSC, Jammu presided over the screening of the J&K Sub Junior team along with Suraj Vhan Singh Incharge Manager (M.A Stadium) at Green Field, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
Dr S.M Bali (Sports Representative, JKTA), Anuj Sharma (Joint Secretary, JKTA), Atul Pangotra (Taekwondo NIS Coach) & Soham Sharma (International Taekwondo Player) attended the screening of the selected team.
Atul Pangotra will take the overall charge as Chief Coach followed by Burhan Ud Din Khan and Amit Kumar as Coaches. Roohi Gupta will be the manager for the female team, while Suhail Ahmed will be manager for the male team.
The selected boys team are Mivaan Dubey (Under 23 Kg), Nahil Farooq (Under 25Kg), Shah Hasnain (Under 27Kg), Ranajay Gupta (Under 29Kg), Ibrahim Lateef (Under 32Kg), Prabjot Singh (Under 35Kg), Mohd Arhaan (Under 38Kg), Zahid Sajad (Under 50Kg) and Mutaib Masood (over 50kg) Where as Shah Hasnain (Individual Poomsae Boys) and Mohammad Usman Bhat (Pair Poomsae).
While in the girls team are Anika Aijaz (Under 24 Kg), Nityanand Vardhayni (Under 26Kg), Huboor Shah (Under 29Kg), Arohi Dutta (Under 41Kg) Aleena Nisar (Under 47kg), Dar Sawyaa Ashiq (over 47kg) Nittya Nand Vardhayni (Individual Poomsae Girls& Pair Mixed Team). Rajesh Pangotra, President J&K Taekwondo Association wished good luck to the whole J&K Taekwondo Sub Junior Team.
