JAMMU, Nov 30: The Sub-Junior Wushu team of Jammu and Kashmir (Boys/Girls) has been screened by the selection committee of the J&K Sports Council for the upcoming 24th Sub-Junior National Wushu Championship, scheduled to be held in Tarn Taran, Punjab, from December 1 to 6.
The selection trials for the team were conducted on November 10 and 11 in Jammu under the guidance of the Wushu Association of J&K, following the guidelines set by the J&K Sports Council.
The screening session at the Wushu Hall, MA Stadium Jammu, was attended by Divisional Sports Officer Baljinder Singh, Kuldeep Handoo, and other committee members. The team will depart for Punjab on December 1 and return on December 7, 2024.
In the previous edition of the Championship held in Jammu, the J&K team secured an impressive overall 2nd place. Wushu Association of J&K President Vijay Saraf and General Secretary Bhavneet extended their best wishes to the team for a successful championship campaign in Punjab.
