JAMMU, July 3: The J&K team was today flagged off for 40th Junior National Taekwondo Championship 2023 to be held at Karnataka.
The selected Boys team for the Nationals comprised Soham Sharma, Danish Baghat, Akarshi T Sudan, Kashif Iqbal, Azad Ah Beigh, Vishvas Sudan, Musadiq Qayoom, Suryansh Victor Sharma, Aryan Singh Chib, Sharwan Kotwal, Tahir Mushtaq, Moomin Malik and Vishnu Raina.
The Girls Team consisted of Laxmi Salaria, Khadija UL Qubra, Khalida Jabeen, Radha Sharma, Manpreet Kour, Sania Mumtaz, Madhvi Chib, Supriya Dogra and Bhavya Rajput.
The flagged off ceremony was organized by J&K Sports Council. Ashok Singh (Divisional Sport’s Officer, JKSC) presided over the screening of the J&K Junior team at Wushu Hall, MA Stadium Jammu.
In the screening panel were Ramesh Chander Sharma (general secretary, JKTA), Atul Pangotra (Coach, JKSC), Achutam Dev Singh (outstanding sports person) and Kushagra Sharma (outstanding sports person).
Atul Pangotra will be the chief coach while other coaches are Burhan Khan and Rajinder Singh. Roohi Gupta will be the manager for female team while as Mukesh Okheda will be manager for the male team.
