JK team represents India in Mount Everest Int’l Taekwondo

JAMMU, Sept 30: Taekwondo team of J&K represented India at 3rd Mount Everest International Taekwondo Championship, which was held at Pokhara in Nepal from September 23 to 26 and brought laurels to J&K.
The championship was organized by Nepal Taekwondo Federation. The team under leadership of Master Atul Pangotra (Taekwondo Coach) and Instructors Rohit Sharma and Mukesh performed very well throughout the championship.
J&K player Aryan Singh Chib brought laurels to India by clinching Gold medal in the junior weight category, while six athletes qualified for quarterfinals.
Team: Narayan Sharma, Soham Sharma, Achutam Dev Singh, Suryaansh Victor Sharma, Aryan Singh Chib, Kushagra Sharma, Supriya Dogra, Govind Singh, Rudhra Pratap Singh, Dushyant Kapta and Rutba Majid participated in Kyourigi division, while in Poomsae, Soham Sharma, Shanaz Parveen, Nitin Singh Rathore and Kushagra Sharma participated in Poomsae division.
The team was accompanied by Nitin Singh Rathore and Harish Tokas as captain and coach respectively.
Secretary Sports Council, Nuzhat Gul congratulated the whole team along with the coaches for the amazing performance.
