JAMMU, Sept 30: J&K team excels in recently concluded North Zone Qwan Ki Do Championship, which was organized by Qwan Ki Do Federation of India at Sonipat, Haryana.
Twelve members J&K team participated in this Championship and won 7 medals which include 3 Gold and 4 Bronze medals. Mandeep Singh, Bhanu Partap Atri and Tarun Sharma won Gold medals while Krish Sharma, Kushagra Sharma, Achutam Dev Singh and Harsh Dev Sharma won Bronze medals in their respective weight categories.
President Qwan ki Do Association of J&K Sheetal Nanda assure J&K team players and their coaches of providing all possible support in future especially female players.
A function was held here, where Subash Shastri General Secretary Qwan Ki Do Association of J&K felicitated all the medal winners of North Zone Championship and wished them good luck for future events.
Shastri also felicitated University of Jammu Qwan Ki Do team players, who participated in All India Inter University Competition held at MDU, Rohtak and won overall 3rd position in India.
Ramesh Chander Sharma Manager Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha and Joint Secretary J&K Taekwondo Association were guests of honour during felicitation function, while Surinder Kumar and Atul Pangotra NIS, Taekwondo Coach were also present on the occasion.
