SRINAGAR, Mar 5: J&K Thang-Ta Championship 2019-20 concluded at Sher-e-Kashmir Sports Complex, here today.
Dr Syed Muzaffar Balkhi, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar was the chief guest on the concluding function.
530 players and officials drawn from 14 districts of J&K participated in the Championship.
The participating districts included Jammu, Poonch, Doda, Kulgam, Shopian, Anantnag, Budgam, Kupwara, Bandipora and Srinagar etc.
The Championship was organized by J&K Thang-Ta Association and was sponsored by J&K Sports Council.
Masoom Ansar was declared as the Champion of Champions in boys section and Barrera Aftab was declared Champion of Champions in girls section. Faizan Ashraf was declared as the Best Fighter.
The selected players will represent J&K in upcoming 26th National Thang-Ta Championship 2019-20 to be held at Imphal, Manipur from March 26 to 29, 2020.
