JAMMU, Feb 6: Thang-Ta players from Jammu and Kashmir were crowned runner- up with 19 Gold, 20 Silver and 10 Bronze medals in sub junior and senior Thang-Ta National Championships, held at Kanyakumari from February 1 to 3.
Owais Ahmed from Pulwama has been declared as the best fighter of the tournament.
Joint Secretary Kashmir Bashir Ahmed Bhat and other office bearers of the Association in their message congratulated all the participants for taking part in the twin National Championships and winning medals.
He also shared that by taking part in sports and physical activities alongside school, students are exposed to sport’s values, including team work, fair play, respect of rules and others, cooperation, discipline and tolerance.
