SRINAGAR, Apr 5: The Jammu & Kashmir Throwball Association organized two major events at Legends School, Srinagar, marking a milestone for the sport’s growth in the region.
The first event was a felicitation ceremony to honour the girls’ Throwball team for their exceptional performance at the National Throwball Championship held in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh. The team received accolades for their hard work and dedication. Senior faculty members of Legends School, Mohammad Ismail and Shahida Parveen presented awards to the team in recognition of their achievements.
The second event was the Annual General Meeting (AGM) for 2025, attended by the Association’s office bearers, district presidents, secretaries and senior players. Key topics discussed included organizing coaching camps, district and UT championships, and national-level participation.
An exciting development discussed was the upcoming Federation Cup, scheduled to be hosted in Srinagar in September 2024. Financial matters, sponsorship opportunities and strategies to enhance the sport’s reach were also reviewed. Sahil Ali, General Secretary of the J&K Throwball Association, welcomed all attendees and expressed gratitude for their continued support.
