J&K to face Manipur in cricket final

SRINAGAR, Sept 23: Jammu and Kashmir will take on Manipur in the final of the ongoing national cricket championship being played at various venues of Ganderbal district, here.
The quarterfinal matches and the semifinals were played today.
In the first quarter final played in Shaheed Showkat Stadium Gadoora, Jammu and Kashmir outplayed Vidharba, while in the second quarterfinal played at same venue, Himachal Pradesh defeated Uttar Pradesh.
In the matches played at Madr-i-Meharban Stadium Ganderbal, NCR Delhi lost to Awadh and Manipur defeated Maharashtra.
Jammu and Kashmir continued their winning spree and outplayed Himachal Pradesh in the first semi-final match at Gadoora and Manipur played superbly to record an easy 10-wicket win against Awadh (UP). Manipur skipper Shahadat made blistering 52* and took 2 wickets.
Meanwhile, in the girls section, Kashmir, Rajasthan and Jammu claimed first three places in the tournament respectively.
