JAMMU, Dec 23: Jammu and Kashmir boys have reached the final of the 37th Sub Junior National Softball Championship after defeating Punjab in the eliminator and Andhra Pradesh in Qualifier-2. They will now face Madhya Pradesh in the title clash. MP secured their spot in the finals by defeating Andhra Pradesh in Qualifier-1. The Championship, organized by the Softball Association of Jammu and Kashmir under the Softball Association of India and J&K Sports Council, is being held at MA Stadium.
In the boys’ section, Andhra Pradesh secured third place, followed by Punjab, Kerala, Rajasthan, Telangana and Chhattisgarh, who finished in 4th to 7th positions.
In the girls’ category, Telangana will take on Andhra Pradesh in the finals, while Jammu and Kashmir secured 3rd place. In earlier rounds, Andhra Pradesh triumphed over Punjab in the Eliminator, while J&K defeated Telangana in Qualifier-1. Andhra Pradesh then emerged victorious over J&K in Qualifier-2. The final stages of the Championship are set to be an exciting conclusion for both boys and girls teams.
