SRINAGAR: Panchayat elections will be held within next three months in Jammu and Kashmir, Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Law and Justice Abdul Haq Khan said.
Mr Khan called on Governor N N Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today. Mr Khan briefed the Governor about important matters relating to each of the areas of his responsibility and about the significant decisions taken in the recently concluded Legislative Assembly session.
He also apprised the Governor about his department’s preparedness for the conduct of Panchayat elections in the coming 3 months.
The Governor spoke to Mr Khan about the crucial importance of ensuring the timely implementation of all rural development schemes. (AGENCIES)
