JAMMU, Mar 27: The Jammu & Kashmir Tug -of-War Association under the Presidentship of Hardeep Singh Anand selected teams to participate in the 10th Open National and 4th Beach Senior National Tug-of-War Championship being held from March 29 to April 1, 2017 at the Sports Complex, Punjabi University, Patiala, Punjab.
The teams were selected by S Hardeep Singh Anand, President of the Association, Jodh Singh Isher, Secretary, J&K Tug of War Association, Jasvir Singh, Joint Secretary under the supervision of J & K Sports Council Screening Committee member at Green Field, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
The selected players for the 10th Open National Tug – of- War Championship under 640 KG included Sanjeev Chib, Arif Majeed, Manjeet, Nasir, Zahoor, Showkat, Zakir, Arshad and Abrar.
In the 560 Mix (4+4) Men & Women included Prabhjote Kour, Megha, Jagandeep, Kiran, Kosar, Pawan Salaria, Sushant Padha, Shabir and Irshad Ahmad.
In the 4th Beach Championship in 600 Kg men included Dileshwar, Ajay, Tanuj, Tahir, Koshal, Lalit, Naveed, Gurcharan Singh and Kanuj Sharma.
In the 540 Kg Mix (4+4) Men and Women included Gurleen, Priyanka, Anadhika, Saloni, Kajal, Jagdeep, Nirmal, Mohammad Arif and Israr Ahmed.
The team has left for the venue and the support staff including Sorav Dubey, Jaswinder Singh, Ajay Kumar, Ritu Dogra and Sohan Lal are accompanying the teams as Coaches and Managers.
Hardeep Singh Anand, President of the Association distributed kits among the players before departure, sponsored by M/s Trans Asia Hotels Pvt. Ltd. Unit Hotel Asia Jammu Tawi, Jammu.
