J&K UT Archery C’ship concludes

JAMMU, Nov 28: The three-day Jammu and Kashmir UT Archery Championship wrapped up today at Green Fields Stadium, Gandhi Nagar, here today with nearly 300 participants from across the Union Territory.
The event was graced by Nuzhat Gul, Secretary J&K Sports Council, as the chief guest, and Mohd Hanif, Chief Sports Officer J&K Sports Council, as the guest of honour.
Among others present on the occasion were Rajeev Sharma Member Sports Council, Vikram Singh President & Sunil Sharma General Secretary Archery Association Ravinder Singh President J&K Cycling Association, Baljinder Singh DSO JK Sports Council and Kuldeep Handoo Dhronacharya Awardee.
In the Recurve category, Divyansh (1st), Nitin (2nd), and Vishal (3rd) secured top positions for boys, while Feriha took the gold for girls. In the junior category, Nitin won gold, with Abhinav and Pariv finishing second and third. Sub-Junior winners included Jaivardhan, Arush, and Pranav for boys, and Feriha for girls. Under 10 category gold went to Lakshman Sharma, and Mini Sub Junior gold was claimed by Satavya, with Harshit Sharma winning silver. The event showcased the region’s budding archery talent.
