JAMMU, Sept 14: A day long JK-UT Senior Judo Championship concluded at Indoor Complex MA Stadium, here today.
Judokas from 12 districts participated in the Championship which was inaugurated by Vikas Gupta, Senior Vice President Judo Association Jammu and Kashmir who was the chief guest while guest of honour was Rohit Gupta, Suraj Sharma and Shiv Kumar and Deepak Sharma. Bouts were officiated by Chief Coach Suraj Bhan Singh, Arshi Nad, Vikas Dogra, Jugal Kishore and Ritika Slathia.
The results were in 60 Kg weight category Ashutosh Khajuria secured first place (Jammu), Shivam Sharma (Rajouri) secured second place and Suhail (Kupwara) and Harsh Dev (JKP) secured third place.
In the 66 Kg weight category; Mehsheed (Srinagar) clinched first spot, Akshay Sharma (Jammu) second and Gulshan Kumar (JKP) and Bhawani Partap (Reasi) secured third place.
In the 73 Kg weight category; Moid Nisar (Srinagar) secured first place, Sushank Baru (Jammu) grabbed second spot while Vishwas Jamwal (Reasi) and Vipul from Kathua secured third place.
In the 81 Kg weight category; Varun Sharma (Jammu) first, Farhat Gulzar (JKP) secured second place, Tarun Sharma (Kathua) and Tajamoul Nazir (Budgam) grabbed third place.
In 90 Kg; Danish Sharma (Jammu) secured first place, Hadi (Srinagar) secured second place while Rajat Singh (Rajouri) and Mohd Yaseen (JKP) secured third place.
In 100 Kg; Ujjwal Sharma (Jammu) secured first place, Vishwa Partap (Reasi) grabbed second place while Gulzar (JKP) and Basit (Srinagar) clinched third place. In +100 Kg; Hamid Magray (Srinagar) secured first place, Rakesh Singh (JKP) secured second place while Ansh Singh (Jammu) and Kapil Singh (Reasi) claimed third spot.
In 48 Kg; Vanshika Manhas (Jammu) secured first place, Huzaima Hanif (Bandipora) got second place, Ravina (Kathua) and Sadiya Makbool (Srinagar) secured third place. In 52 Kg; Khushi Thakur (Jammu) got first place, Jimmo Devi (Kathua) secured second and Ranju Sharma (Udhampur) and Syed Azam (Srinagar) secured third place.
In 57 Kg; Yashika Jamwal (Jammu) secured first, Mehwish Latif (Srinagar) secured second and Riya Sharma (Udh) clinched third place. In 63 Kg; Nirali Sharma (Jammu) got first place, Hidaya Shahid (Srinagar) secured second and Sneha Sharma (Reasi) and Rekha Devi (Udhampur) clinched third place.
In 70 Kg; Shahtalla (Srinagar) got first place, Arohi (Jammu) got second place while Akriti (Rajouri) and Shivani (Udh) secured third place. In 78 Kg; Kabra Altaf (Srinagar) secured first place and Anshika Sharma (Jammu) came second. In + 78 Kg; Tanvi Thakur (Rajouri) secured first place Nirjala (Jammu) secured second and Anmol Devi (Kathua) clinched third place.
