SRINAGAR, Sept 30: The J&K UT Senior Taekwondo trials for the 2024-25 seasons concluded at the JKSC Gindun Sports Complex in Rajbagh, here today. The trials were conducted under the supervision of Mohd Iqbal, appointed by the J&K Sports Council, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of fairness and transparency throughout the selection process.
The event was further elevated by the esteemed presence of Nissar Hussain, Senior Vice President of the J&K Taekwondo Association, who actively participated in the trials, demonstrating the association’s commitment to promoting Taekwondo in the region.
Harish Tokas, an International Taekwondo Coach, served as the Technical Chairman for the trials, providing invaluable expertise that enhanced the selection process. His involvement ensured that only the most talented athletes were chosen to represent the Union Territory.
The selected players will represent J&K UT at the 40th National Senior Kyorugi and 13th National Senior Poomsae Taekwondo Championships 2024, scheduled to be held at Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium, Indira Gandhi Sports Complex, Puducherry, from October 17 to 20, 2024, organized by the Taekwondo Federation of India.
