J&K Veteran Cricket team flagged off for North Zone Tourney

JAMMU, Mar 21: The J&K Veteran Cricket Team was flagged off by DIG of the Jammu-Kathua-Samba Range, Shiv Kumar Sharma for North Zone Tournament, set to take place in Haridwar.
Sharma was joined by Gaurav Gupta, spokesperson BJP, K S Jamwal, Senior Vice President, and Vivek Suri, General Secretary of the Veteran Cricket Association of J&K. The tournament is being organized by the Veteran Cricket Association of Uttarakhand under the aegis of the Board for Veteran Cricket in India, with Parveen Tyagi serving as its Working President.
During the flag-off ceremony, Shiv Kumar Sharma wished the team the best of luck and commended the Veteran Cricket Association of J&K for its efforts in promoting cricket among veterans and providing a platform for former players.
Gaurav Gupta emphasized the association’s success in building a strong ecosystem for veteran cricket in J&K and highlighted how such tournaments motivate the younger generation to take up the sport. J&K will face Uttarakhand and Haryana in the tournament.
