JAMMU, Dec 2: JK Veterans Warriors defeated JK Veterans Superstars by 6 wickets in a first T20 Cricket match which was played at Jammu Sports Cricket Stadium Bantalab, here today.
Earlier batting first JK Veterans Superstars managed to score 111 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs match. Rajesh Gill scored 37 runs, Hilal 18 runs, Vishal 16 runs and Pardeep Bali 14 runs were the main scorers.
In reply JK Veterans Warriors chased the target in 19 overs by losing four wickets thus won the match by 6 wickets. Sonu Malhotra made 37 runs while Vicky Riana and Lakhwinder contributed 24 and 14 runs for their team. Sonu was declared as man of the match.
Earlier, Rajesh Gill executive member of the Jammu and Kashmir Veterans Cricket Association informed that 10 matches will be played with the motive to give a platform to veteran players to remain fit. He also informed that they will also organise Masters Inter State Cricket Championship in January at Jammu.
