SRINAGAR, June 8: The Jammu and Kashmir Police Athletes helped the J&K State team to win bronze medal in the 53rd Inter State Senior Athletics Championship at Jawar Lal Nehru Stadium, Chennai. The Championship was organized by Tamil Nadu Athletics Association, a police spokesman said.
Director General of Police, Ashok Prasad and Additional Director General of Police Armed, S. M. Sahai, have congratulated the athletes for their outstanding performance in the Championship.
The athletes Amrish Sharma, Imtiyaz Ahmad, Vipin Kumar from J&K Police were the part of J&K State team that won Bronze Medal in 4X100 meter relay race. Jharkhand clinched Gold while-as Tamil Nadu bagged Silver in the event.
The J&K Police Athletes were trained by Inspector Sharat Chander Singh, Coach of J&K Police Central Sports Team.
