JAMMU, Feb 19: J&K won galaxy of medals in the Cadet and Senior National Kickboxing Championship 2013-14 held at Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex Balewadi, Pune in Maharashtra.
The medal winners included Arun Singh Charak, Saurav Sharma, Tarun Gorkha and Saurav (All gold); Priyanka Devi, Rishabh Bhatt, Zulkar Choudhary, Vasu Dev Singh, Ranjit Singh, Savita Devi and Prashant Sharma (All silver), while the bronze medals went to Ansh Swal, Abhiudhay Sharma, Abhay Sharma, Sumit Singh, Sachin Sharma, Neha Bhagat, Avantika Sharma, Jyoti Devi, Munish Kumar, Rohit Mehta, Shallu Thakur, Veena Bala, Govind Singh, Kailash Singh and Ayush Sharma.
The players from 25 States participated in the event.
The State team was escorted by Arun Singh Charak and Lalit Singh as coaches and Charan Singh and Narayan Dass managers. The team won 4 gold, 7 silver and 15 bronze medals.
On their return, the players were received and felicitated by Abhishek Jain, general secretary of the Association; Vivek Bassan, technical director and NIS coach; Gourav Chopra and Vikram Singh.
