SRINAGAR, June 15: Jammu and Kashmir women’s team got silver, while men’s team bagged bronze medal in the ongoing 13th All India North Zone Carrom Championship at SP Higher Secondary School, here today.
The Championship is being organized by J&K Carrom Association, under the auspices of All India Carrom Federation and is being sponsored by J&K State Sports Council.
Earlier, in women’s event, Haryana defeated Uttranchal by (2 –1), Chandigarh defeated Uttranchal by (3 – 0), J&K blanked Punjab by (3 – 0) and Haryana thrashed Punjab by (3 – 0), while in men’s Championship, Chandigarh defeated J&K by (3 – 0), Uttranchal got better of J&K by (3—0), Chandigarh drubbed Uttranchal by the same margin, Haryana prevailed over Punjab by 3 – 0 and Chandigarh outplayed Haryana by (3 – 0).
