J&K Women’s team defeats Mizoram by 110 runs

JAMMU, Oct 26: Jammu and Kashmir secured a commanding 110-run victory over Mizoram in the ongoing Senior Women’s T20 Trophy at Infopro Sports Club Ground, Vadodara.
Batting first, J&K set a total of 157 runs, led by a blistering innings from Rubia Syed, who scored 93 runs off just 50 balls, including 7 fours and 6 sixes. She received support from Bawandeep Kaur (24 off 27) and Shivanti Gupta (17 off 14). Mizoram’s Zothan Sangi took 2 wickets, while Sandhya and Puipuii claimed one wicket each.
In response, Mizoram struggled to reach 47/9 in their 20 overs, with Zuali as the only batter in double figures with 10 runs. The J&K bowling attack was relentless, with Sandhya Sayal taking 3 wickets for 7 runs in 4 overs. Ananaya Sharma and Chitra Singh Jamwal each took 2 wickets for 11 and 7 runs, respectively.
