JAMMU, Nov 28: In order to celebrate Armed Forces Flag Day on 7th of December and to pay homage to the martyrs, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages today organized On the Spot Painting Competition on the theme ‘Indian Forces-Pride of the Nation’ in the lawns of Abhinav Theatre, here in collaboration with Rajya Sainik Board, Jammu and Kashmir.
In this Competition, more than 100 students from various Educational Institutions participated. There were three groups viz. Infant Group, Junior group and Senior Group.
In the Infant group, Damini Thapa of Army Public School, Jammu Cantt. was adjudged as first, Vrindalika Sharma of Delhi Public School, Jammu as second and 3rd position was bagged by Rupali Sharma of Army Public School, while the consolation prize was given to Aaisha of Delhi Public school.
In the Junior Group, the first three positions went to Aryan Saproo of DBN Vidya Mandir, Prathamansh Sharma of Delhi Public School and Pawanpreet Kour from St. Peters High School, Jammu respectively. The consolation prize was bagged by Sanchit Raina from St. Peters High School, Jammu.
Similarly, in the Senior Group, the first three positions went in favour of Vishal Tiwari of Army Public school, Jammu Cantt. Mepam Tundup of DBN Vidya Mandir and Gunisha Aggarwal from St. Peters High School respectively, while the consolation prize was bagged by Vanshee Koul of Delhi Public School.
The adjudicators were Bhushan Kesar, Vijay Anand and Rohit Verma.
