JAMMU, July 22: Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP), president, Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari today said that his party work for the unity of the people of the Jammu as well as Kashmir regions because both have suffered since decades.
“Both the regions have suffered because of divisive politics which was played in the Jammu and Kashmir regions since decades. The people of Jammu were pitched against people of Kashmir and people of Kashmir were pitched against Jammu,” Bukhari said while interacting with different deputations here.
Bukhari said there was mistrust among the people of both the regions that one is getting more than the other. In fact, there was no development of both the regions. He said that JKAP wants to bring two regions together.
“There will be no space for divisive politics or discrimination. We will do politics of sincerity and truthfulness to the people,” he added.
JKAP president was concerned over the lack of infrastructure in the certain hospitals, schools, poor drinking water and electricity supply especially in rural areas of Jammu region.
He appealed the people to follow norms like social distancing and wearing face masks to avoid contraction with the COVID-19 and cooperate with the Government to end the spread of coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanwhile, 12 deputations from various areas of Jammu division called on JKAP president Altaf Bukhari and highlighted their demands here at Jammu office of the J&K Apni Party.
These deputations include three deputations from Samba district, stone crashers, Other Backward Class, Scheduled Caste, Rehbar-e-Khel, SRO employees, Coaches of Sports, Rehber-e-Janglat, Christian community and PDD employee’s deputation.
The deputation of Rehbar-e-Khel demanded reduction in probation period and enhancement of wages and coaches demanded competition of pending recruitment process in sports.
After listening to their issues, Bukhari assured that their genuine demands will be highlighted before the concerned authorities for their earliest redressal. Many people from different parties joined JKAP on this occasion.
Senior party leaders Manjit Singh Ex-Minister, Ex-MLC Vijay bakaya, Vikram Malhotra and Namrata Sharma were also present on the occasion.
