JAMMU, July 2: Demanding regularisation of temporary technical workers, JKATA has threatened to go on agitation if its demands are not fulfilled.
“We demand regularisation of all the Rehbar-e-Ziraat (ReZ) technocrats at the earliest in the State, “Jammu and Kashmir Agriculture Technocrats Association (JKATA) president Surinder Radotra told reporters here today.
Under the ReZ scheme, technocrats (agriculture) are employed on temporary bases in the State Government.
Radotra alleged that the State Government is not taking serious steps for the regularisation of agricultural technocrats on batch-wise manner and luring them on fake verbal promises.
ReZ technocrats should be regularised giving preference to the date of passing out of their BSc and their pay scale should be revised, he said, adding that preference should be given to technocrats with seven years of continuous service in Agriculture Department as such without any single break.
Radotra warned the State Government to immediately consider their genuine demands so that a clear picture in black and white could emerge regarding their future.
“If the demands are not fulfilled, we have every right to fight against State Government’s partial treatment towards Rehbar-i-Ziraat technocrats and launch agitation,” he said.
He expressed anguish towards the negligent attitude of the State Government for not taking serious steps for the regularisation of Rehbar-i-Ziraat.
Radotra demanded a concrete policy on ReZ and demanded that the State Government should amend Cabinet decision regarding their regularisation.
