JKB organizes literacy camp to highlight bank schemes

JAMMU, Sept 25: To highlight various schemes for the customers, J&K Bank literacy camp was organized today by BU Chakmalal at Thanger Pallanwalla.
The camp was presided over by Branch Head Ashok Khajuria, FID Incharge Vipan Malhotra and Advances Incharge Sumit Gupta.
Ashok Khajuria made the participant aware of the aim and purpose of organizing literacy camp. He familiarized the people about various schemes and products of deposits and advances of the bank.
Highlighting various employment scheme like JKSES, SGSY, SJSR, DED, Poultry Venture Scheme etc, he asked people to avail benefit from these schemes.
The people were informed that if they are not able to approach the bank branch, they can open their accounts through Khidmat Centre.
The participants in the camp put forward certain suggestions and demands like opening of J&K Bank Branch in Thanger area and setting up an ATM there, collection of electricity bills at the Khidmat Centre level, concession on the rate of interest on personal consumption loan by pensioners, etc.
The Branch Head assured that valuable suggestions and demands of the people would be forwarded to higher authorities for their consideration.
Sarpanch Niku Ram, Ex Naib Tehsildar Narpat Rai and Ward Chairman of the area were among the guests invited for their participation in the camp.
