REASI, Nov 5: Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) has launched a final preparatory camp for the J&K U-15 Girls team at the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board Stadium in Katra.
This initiative marks a significant step in the development of cricket in the region, especially following the recent signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Shrine Board and JKCA for the establishment of turf wickets and a dedicated cricket ground at the stadium.
This camp is particularly noteworthy as it is the first major event held on the newly laid turf wickets. During the camp, which runs from November 8 to 12, the JKCA will also welcome the U-15 team from Himachal Pradesh for friendly matches. After the camp concludes, the J&K team will travel to Gwalior to compete in a national tournament organized by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and hosted by the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA).
