JKCA to meet on Nov 2 to discuss mismanagement

JAMMU, Oct 12: To deliberate on mismanagement and maladministration in the administrative activities of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) which had badly affected cricketing activities in the State, JKCA is going to meet at its Bathindi office on November 2, 2014.
The meeting has been fixed by senior joint secretary of JKCA, Sudershan Mehta, after the members of working committee had submitted him a requisition to convene Extra Ordinary General Council meeting, as after election meeting held on May 12, 2014 no working committee meeting has been convened.
Since the JKCA president is out of country for last two months and its general secretary had been restrained by the court to function in the association and continues to be suspended the requisition made by the working committee members had requested the senior joint secretary to convene the meeting of Extra Ordinary General Council to deliberate upon the mess and chaos prevailing in the association since.
It has been mentioned in the requisition that there are financial irregularities mismanagement and malfunctioning in the selection of teams, as a result of which the National teams sent illegally have failed miserably and participated in the match at Una (HP) and Amritsar, Punjab in violation of court order.
