JKCA Whites trounces Reds by 36 runs

JAMMU, Feb 9: JKCA Whites prevailed over JKCA Reds by 36 runs in the ongoing selection trial matches for Vijay Hazare Trophy, organized by Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) at Science College Hostel ground, here today.
Batting first, JKCA Whites posted a decent total of 260 runs in 48 overs. Majid Dar top scored with unbeaten 64 runs off 74 balls, with the help of 2 fours and 2 sixes, while Shubam Khajuria made brilliant 57 runs off 53 balls with the help of 10 boundaries. Siddarth Magotra (42), Paras Sharma (28), Gokul Baru (25) and Abid Nabi (19) were the other contributors. For JKCA Reds, Mohd Muddasir and Manik Gupta bagged 2 wickets each, while Anoop Magotra and Umar Alam claimed one wicket each.
JKCA Blues, in reply managed to score 224 runs in the allotted overs, thus lost the match by 36 runs. Rohit Bhat top scored with 65 runs off 92 balls, studded with 6 boundaries, while Ramdyal and Manik Gupta contributed 30 and 24 runs to the total respectively. Sohail Andleep was the wrecker-in-chief, who scalped 5 wickets by conceding 54 runs in his 10 overs, while Syed Sagar and Raman Dutta bagged 2 wickets each and Abid Nabi claimed one.
The match was officiated by Mubasher and Harsh Nayyar as umpires, while Ashwani was the scorer.
