JKDF starts renovation work of Cremation Ground at Ward 40

JAMMU, Sept 30: Chairman JKDF Anil Gupta today started the renovation works of cremation ground at the Durga Nagar, Talab Tillo, Ward No. 40. The renovation is being carried out by Jammu Municipal Corpor-ation under non plan on insistence of MLA Jammu West Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta at the Cost of Rs.35.00 lacs.
Renovation of the crematorium was the long pending demand of the people. The works include construction of paths, park , bathroom and cremation shed besides overall face lift.
He said as a first phase of work, laying of tiles in the ground started and subsequently the other works will follow soon. “We have taken various Developmental activities on public demand in different wards of Jammu West Constituency with the help of M.L.A., JKDF will be always at the forefront for the service of society and will make every effort to mitigate the problems of people” he added.
Mr. Vivek Raja, a JKDF youth leader from Ward No. 40 expressed gratitude to Mr Gupta for his initiative of getting sanctioned Rs. 35.00 lacs from Government through MLA for renovation of crematorium and his personal interest for the development of Jammu West Constituency. He said JKDF’s foremost preference will be to work for the development and betterment of Ward residents.
