JAMMU, Nov 20 : JKDF Students Union today organised the prize distribution ceremony for winners of “First General Zorawar Singh Memorial Knowledge Test, 2013”.
The test was organized to promote the budding talent and also to create the habit of learning among the youngsters. Large number of students, from almost all the schools of the city participated in the Test. The test was conducted simultaneously at three centres, viz, Oriental Academy, Kachi Chowni, Centre Basic Hr. Sec. School, Purani Mandi and Luthra Public Hr. Sec. School, Talab Tillo, Jammu.
The prize distribution function was held at Luthra Public School, Talab Tillo, Jammu.
JKDF State president Anil Gupta was the chief guest on the occasion and Sanjeev Luthra, Managing Director, Luthra Group of Institutions was the guest of honour on the occasion.
In Category A (9th & 10th) , the first prize was bagged by Sushil Singh of Ranbir Higher Secondary School, Whereas Second and third Prize went to Avinash Thakur and Prityush Sharma of Oriental Academy, Kachi Chowni.
In Category B (11th and 12th), first prize was won by Sajan Sharma, Second prize won by Anirudh Anand and 3rd Prize was won by Aman Sharma, all the students of Ranbir Higher Secondary School.
Speaking on the occasion, Anil Gupta said, “The purpose of conducting this test was to bring forward the talented youth and provide a platform to the young generation to prove themselves
Earlier, Abhishek Slathia (State President JKDFSU) presented welcome address.
Vote of thanks was presented by Nikhil Sharma, State general secretary, JKDFSU.
Others present on the occasion were Munish Khajuria State President Youth Wing JKDF, Veenu Khanna State president Ladies Wing, JKDF, Rohit Kerni, Lovekesh Gondi, Gulshan Rattan, Dheeraj Balgotra and Varinder Jamwal.
