JAMMU, Apr 21: A delegation of J&K Electrical Engineering Graduates Association met Principal Secretary PDD here today.
The delegation led by president, JKEEGA Er Doulat Ram Bhagat submitted charter of demands to Sandeep Kumar Nayak regarding various long pending issues faced by the fraternity of engineers . The president along with the delegation expressed serious concern over main issue of regularization and said its slow pace has created lot of frustration and resentment within the fraternity. The engineers working as Chief Engineers and Superintending Engineers are loosing their zeal and enthusiasm.
The delegation drew the attention of Principal Secretary towards the problems faced by Electrical Engineers in respect of post Electrical mishaps/accidents and subsequent harassment met by official during the course of investigations. It was requested that before the registration of FIR against the official the case should be investigated thoroughly as in most of the cases the mishap occurs due to the negligence of public. The harassment meted by the engineers through the hands of Police Department in most of the cases has created fear and disappointment amongst the cadre.
The delegation also highlighted the other allied problems faced by the employees. The Principal Secretary issued on spot instruction to Additional Secretary HRM to expedite the processing of their genuine issues.
The members who attended the meeting were Er Ravinder Kumar Sharma, Er Mohd Ashraf and Er Vinod Kumar.
