JAMMU, Oct 29: J&K Electrical Engineering Graduates Association (JKEEGA) today flayed the higher authorities for recent promotion order of Executive Engineers, wherein less qualified diploma engineers of 1999 recruits were preferred over highly qualified degree engineers of 1986 recruits.
In a meeting of the guidance council of the association, the speakers said that our state is unique in the entire country wherein less qualified persons with less service and experience are preferred over highly qualified senior professionals.
It was further articulated that less qualified diploma engineers have mostly been posted at vital and sensitive installations like transmission and Sub transmission divisions, which is against the normal procedure and shall prove detrimental for the system.
The guidance council expressed dismay over issuance of such deceitful order, which it said, has demoralized, discouraged and insulted highly qualified senior most engineers awaiting their promotion since a long time.
The meeting authorized the general secretary to apprise the concerned authorities regarding the flouting of Engineering Gazette Service recruitment rules to appease a few and tinkering with the transfer policy to the convenience of the Government.
