JAMMU, Jan 20: J&K Grameen Bank (JKGB) handed over PMJJBY and PMSBY claim to nominees in village Kanhal, tehsil Bishnah, Jammu.
The claim was handed over recently during a programme in which General Manager, Romesh Vaid, was the chief guest. The lump sum amount of Rs 8 lakh regarding PMJJBY and PMSBY claims was handed over to the nominees of the insurer, Raj Kumar, Kuldeep Kumar and Veena Devi by General Manager, Romesh Vaid.
While speaking on the occasion, the General Manager informed the people regarding various schemes of the bank including car, housing loan and education loans. They were informed that the bank is offering loans to the customers at the lowest interest rate in the State. They were also informed regarding the ongoing New Year Bonanza with a special offer of rebate in rate of interest of 0.5% for two wheeler loans for females and no processing charges on car, housing and two wheeler loans.
Speaking on the occasion, Vipan Gupta, senior Manager, MF&FI Department, spoke at length about services of the bank. He informed about the benefits of social security schemes namely (PMJJBY) Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, (PMSBY) Pradhan Mantri Surakhsha Bima Yojana and (APY) Atal Pension Yojana. The thrust was also given on various IT products like Rupay Cards, SMS Alerts, NEFT/RTGS and Immediate Payment Services (IMPS).
Regional Manager, KL Sharma informed the villagers regarding various modes of getting cashless transactions from banks, various safeguards to be kept in mind in order to be aware and prevent cases of cheating/corruption while availing different banking facilities with special reference to use of ATM Cards, Mobile Banking etc.
