JAMMU, Apr 4: Jammu Kashmir Gujjar Bakerwal Federation (JKGBF) has strongly condemn the recent statement of the Chief Minister of the State regarding giving ST status to the Pahari.
In press statement Ch Shokat Gujjar president Jammu Kashmir Gujjar Bakerwal Federation said that the recent statement of the CM has sent wrong signals as the community has already suffered an a lot by including number of communities into the due share of the ST which was initial granted to the Gujjar Bakerwal community but due share mentioned in the ST- status benefits not given to the community as Political Reservation for ST need to be granted as in other States but unfortunately the NC which was in the power for last more than 60 years in the State didn’t bother to give due share to the Gujjar Bakerwal and instead playing with the sentiments of the community by giving such statement.
Prominent persons present on the occasion were Shabir Choudhary, Gulzar Choudhary, Shameem Choudhary, Rafiq Choudhary, Sameer Choudhary, Akram Choudhary and Talab Hussain.
