JAMMU, Jan 24: Jammu and Kashmir Bank Officers’ Association (JKGBOA) has called for one-day strike on January 27 to press for its demands.
In a handout issued today, JKGBOA said that it had submitted a charter of demands to the Bank Management in August 2022 in which it raised various demands such as implementation of transfer policy, Mitra Committee, rationalization of staff in branches, revision of daily wages as per instructions of NABARD, etc but the Bank Management turned deaf ear to demands of the Association, thereby causing resentment among the Bank employees.
“Moreover, Bank Management has transferred general secretary of the Association vindictively for raising these issues. The Bank Management is indulged in favouritism and nepotism which are the order of the day in the Bank, as evident from the personnel sitting at sensible posts for pretty long time ignoring the CVC and NABARD guidelines,” the Association said.
JKGBOA said that keeping all this in view, it has decided to observe one-day strike on January 27.
