JKGPA discusses demands

JAMMU, Apr 4:  The Jammu Kashmir Government Pharmacists Association held a meeting wherein they urged the Government to concede their demands at the earliest.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Kamaljeet Sawhney, senior vice president, JKGPA.  The demands highlighted in the meeting included conducting of DPC meeting of Pharmacists by removing one time exemption to fill up all vacant posts besides other categories, creation of posts of District Pharmacy Officers and Block Pharmacy Officers.
The other demands pertained to making operational medical stores at all district headquarters instead at provincial level in order to provide timely supplies to the health institutions, running promotion of pharmacists on the pattern of Medical Officer who are promoted as BMOs, CMOs, Medical Superintendents, Assistant Directors and Deputy Directors and grant of RMP to pharmacists during services.
Those present during the meeting included Jarnail Choudhary, R P Singh, Raman Anand, Ajeet Kumar, Daleep Choudhary, Surjit Kumar, Bharat Bhushan, Kulmeet Singh, Mela Simgh, Gaston Gill, Sodagar Mal, Anil Khajuria, Raman Sharma, Parshtom Sharma, Jaswant Singh and others.
