JAMMU, Mar 26: Chairman, J&K Intellectual Civil Society (JKICS), New Delhi, SS Sodhi today reiterated the need of maintaining social distancing for stopping the spread of Coronavirus.
Sodhi made an appeal to the general public for extending full cooperation to the Government authorities for controlling the situation. He added that “India’s spiritual legacy has great power to heal and tide away difficult times as also to unite us all in the hour of need, to fight the deadly virus.”
He said all this during a meeting with members of JKICS through video conferencing. Reviewing the precautionary and relief measures taken by the J&K Government, Sodhi lauded the efforts of all frontline health officials, security forces and the staff of essential services of Jammu who are working day & night, ensuring that there are no shortfalls in essential commodities nor any shortages of health services for the people of Jammu during the lock down period.
Sodhi also urged people to take special care of the vulnerable age groups like, elderly, children and people with existing illnesses. He cautioned people to practice restraint and patience in this garve situation and act as per the Government advisory and guidelines.
He hoped that with cooperation of the general public, Coronavirus will be soon contained and defeated.
