J&KISWA pays tributes to Dara Singh

J&KISWA members while paying tributes to wrestler Dara Singh in Jammu on Saturday.

JAMMU, July 13: The members of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association (J&KISWA) and large number of sports lovers paid floral tributes to world champion wrestler, Dara Singh on his first death anniversary at Dewan Akhara, here today.
The tributes were paid in a function in which MLA Jammu East, Ashok Khajuria and president J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association were present.
While paying tributes, Ashok Khajuria said that Dara Singh was a great personality in the world wrestling as well as in Film Industry, adding that he remained a world championship in American free Style Wrestling and also occupied a portion as Member of Parliament in Rajya Sabha during NDA coalition Government at the Centre.
He advised that such type of functions be celebrated in each district of the State and his principles should be adopted.
Others who spoke on the occasion were Prem Choudhary, Bansi Lal Tidyal, Prithvi Raj Sharma, Varinder Kumar Sharma, Mulk Raj Sharma and Surinder Kumar Sharma.
