JKLTF apprises DSE of issues concerning teachers

JAMMU, May 21: A deputation of All Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation called on Director School Education  Jammu and discussed with him the problems being faced by the teaching community.
The Federation demanded decentralization of powers of the Directorate of School Education for better management of affairs and also suggested modification of present syllabi besides timely supply of free books in the schools.
The deputation expressed its serious concern over the present state of affairs in transfer policy of the Education Department and alleged teachers were intentionally being transferred to far-flung and distant areas only to harass them.
Other issues, highlighted  during the discussion, included, Mid-Day Meal, Selection Grade to Under-Graduate Teachers and timely release of salary grants.
The Director gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured to look into the issues highlighted by the Federation.
The deputation comprised of Pawan Kumar, Mohan Singh, Pardeep Kumar, Manjeet Singh, Rampal Saini, Ravinder Verma, Raj Kumar, Kuldeep Singh, Chanchal Singh, Kuldeep Raj Sharma, Kuldeep Singh, Ram Kishore, Rattan Lal Sharma, Gulzar Hussain, Kulbhushan, Varinder Sharma, Madan Lal, Madan Singh, Ashutosh, Dr Vijay Kumar and others.
