UDHAMPUR, Aug 11: JKNPP activists under the leadership of Dhani Ram Atri, candidate Chenani – Ghordi, held strong protest demonstration in front of Dy Commissioner Office Udhampur against appointment of youth from Kashmir and other part of State in Jammu on Katra Railway Track.
Shouting slogans and demanding justice, the protesting JKNPP activists also blocked the National Highway and torched an effigy of Railway Board Chairman.
While addressing the protestant, Mr Atri said that there was a strong resentment among the local youth over deployment of non-locals on Udhampur- Katra Railway track which was inaugurated last month by Prime Minister of India.
Sudesh Sharma, district president JKNPP announced Panchayats level protest demonstrations from August 12 in Udhampur district.
