UDHAMPUR, Aug 22: Panthers Party today held a protest demonstration, here today against the BJP leadership for not taking out Tiranga rallies in the entire State.
A number of JKNPP workers, led by former MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia, assembled at Slathia Chowk Udhampur this morning and took out a rally, which passed through different bazaars of the town before culminating at Dabbar Chowk where a demonstration was held.
Amidst raising of slogans, the JKNPP activists also torched an effigy of BJP. Speaking on the occasion Mr Mankotia accused the BJP leadership of not holding Tiranga rallies even in their own Assembly constituency of Jammu province, including Kishtwar, Doda, Ramban and Poonch where as the party was claiming to hoist flag in PoK.
“BJP was exploiting the sentiments of the people of whole nation for hoisting flag in Lal Chowk Srinagar for last more than 70 years but after coming to power in State as well as in the Centre, the party got exposed before people,” he said.
Raising a question mark on BJP holding Tiranga rallies only upto Patnitop area, Mr Mankotia said the Panthers Party was smelling that BJP was implementing the Dixon plan.
JKNPP district president Sanjeet Kumar Sharma, D R Atri, Amar Nath Mehra, Joginder Sharma Sarpanch, Sunil Gudda and others also addressed the gathering.
Meanwhile, a delegation of JKNPP activists also called on SHO Udhampur and lodged a complaint against BJP Ministers who were driving motorcycle without wearing helmet in a motorcycle rally at Udhampur.
