JAMMU, Mar 1: J&K Olympic Association released souvenir and honoured medal winners of the 36th National Games-2022, held at Gujarat from September 29 to October -12.
The souvenir of 36th National Games was released at Amar Singh Club here today where all the medal winners, coaches and officials of the National Games were honoured with cash prizes (Gold-15000/-, Silver-10000 and Bronze -8000), mementoes and certificates.
The souvenir of 36th National Games was released by Rajyogini BK Sudershan Didi (I/c Braham Kumari’s J&K/Ladakh and senior coordinator of Sports Wing RERF Northern Zone) who also honoured the medal winner coaches and officials who participated in the National Games.
Prof. (Dr) Ashutosh Sharma gave full details of formation of J&K Olympic Association. “The most remarkable event was the March Past of J&K contingent in the 36th National Games which was applauded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, CM Gujarat Bhupinder Sing Patel, Anurag Thakur, Minister of Sports Government of India along with other dignitaries,” he said.
Dushyant Sharma, former international wrestler India and first Gold medal winner for J&K in National Games Pune (Maharashtra) in 1994 also shared his experiences of his sports career.
Dr. Nirmolak Singh Chef-De-Mission of J&K UT contingent narrated the medals tally of J&K i.e 12 medals.
Kuldeep Singh Jamwal, Kiran Wattal, Capt. Murti Gupta, Sunil Sharma, OD Sharma, Secretaries and members of J&K UT Sports Associations, coaches of different disciplines and parents of medal winners were present during the event.
