JKP-B, Maharaja Sports script wins in football

Players fighting hard to get hold of the ball during a football match in Srinagar on Monday.

SRINAGAR, Sept 16: Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP)-B team blanked its rival in A Division, while Maharaja Sports got better of its opponent in Super Division match of the ongoing J&K State Power Development Corporation Annual League Football Tournament, organized by J&K Football Association, DFA Srinagar, here today.
In A Division match, JKP-B defeated Shaheen Sports by three goals to nil (3-0) in an easy contest. Rohit Kumar pelted the 2 goals in 15th and 43rd minutes, while Manzoor netted another goal in 23rd minute of the match.
In Super Division match, Maharaja Sports trounced Kashmir Mughals by three goals to nil (3-0) to advance in the tournament. Rubani scored the first goal in 31st minute, while Asif Qadir and Adil pelted goals in 32nd and 79th minutes respectively.
