SRINAGAR, July 2: J&K Police (B), Shaheen Sports, J&K PDC (B), Late Maqbool and DFA Bandipora registered wins over their rivals to advance in the 14th J&K Police Martyrs’ Memorial Football Tournament, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Police, here.
Earlier, Shaheen Sports scripted a narrow win over Jammu (B) by four goals to three (4-3) in a tie-breaker, while J&K Police (B) drubbed Young Lal Chowk by three goals to nil (3-0). DFA Bandipora got better off Regal Sports by three goals to nil (3-0), while Late Maqbool blanked DFA Ladakh by nine goals to nil (9-0).
Meanwhile, Burn Hall Srinagar got walk over against YMCA, while J&K PDC (B) crushed DFA Kulgam by thirteen goals to nil (13-0).
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Rouf-Ul-Hassan, IGP Armed/IRP Kashmir, T Namgyal, DIG Armed Kashmir, SA Hamid, DIG IRP Kashmir and large number of football enthusiasts and office bearers of Jammu and Kashmir Football Association.
